I make website templates for travel advisors, and I'm hopelessly travel obsessed, which is honestly the whole reason I'm good at this. I know your clients because I am your client.
Hi there, I'm Jen
Welcome to the Blog
Designer, SEO Expert, transplant advocate,
and adventure addict.
You’d think picking a travel agency website template would be the easy part.
But instead, you end up with 14 tabs open, three “maybe love its” and a headache.
So, let’s walk through how to choose a travel agency website template in a way that actually supports your business… not just your Pinterest board.
You’re probably tempted to start with aesthetics. Dark and moody? Neutral? Fun?
Totally fair, but I’m gonna encourage you to look at function first instead, so this whole thing feels so much more like a business foundation vs an accessory.
Do you need it to get people onto a consult call?
Do you want it to pre•qualify leads so you’re not writing custom novels for every inquiry?
Do you want it to showcase specific types of trips (Disney, cruises, luxury FIT, group tours)?
If you’re a Disney or family travel advisor, that might look like guiding busy parents quickly to “here’s how I plan your trip” and an easy consult call. If you’re a luxury advisor or honeymoon specialist, it might mean spotlighting fewer, higher touch services and giving space for longer, more detailed itineraries.
So when you’re evaluating any website template for a travel agency, ask yourself a few questions.
Where does this template clearly guide people?
Is there a clear “work with me” or “plan your trip” path, or is it just photos and vibes?
Can I see my services fitting into this structure?
If you can’t even imagine where your core offers would live, it’s a hard pass.
A good travel agency website template should already be structured around a real client journey, not just a wanderlust gallery.

Look past the homepage
When you’re choosing a website template for a travel agency, at a minimum you need:
If a web template for a travel agency doesn’t give you space for those basics, you really need to consider the extra time and work it would take you to pull it all together later and basically work against the layout, or worse, that you might just never add them, so you keep explaining everything and miss the mark on the whole reason for a website.
And be real with yourself. Your future self will thank you for starting with a travel agency website template that already includes those sections instead of trying to make them fit.

“Travel” slapped into the headline doesn’t magically make a template advisor friendly.
When you’re reviewing a travel agency website template:
If the template feels like a generic small business site with “travel” swapped in, you’ll be doing a lot more copy and layout editing to make it fit your world. Not super fun.

Some advisors love diving into a website builder.
Others would rather update their CRM, redo their workflows, and alphabetize their spice rack.
When you’re choosing a website template for travel agency use, be honest
Look for things like:
Even if you never work with JetSite, this is the bar.
Your travel website template should make editing feel manageable, not like you just signed yourself up for a part‑time web design gig.

Your business now and your business in 18 months won’t look exactly the same. Usually a great problem to have, but only if you have a foundation that you grow with.
So when you’re weighing different travel agency website templates, ask yourself,
The best website template for a travel agency probably isn’t the one that’s only “perfect” for this exact moment. It’s one that can flex as you niche down, raise your fees, add group trips or host retreats, or even bring on a virtual assistant or team member.
If a template feels crowded and complicated, like any change will throw off the entire design, it’s probably not the long term home base your business deserves.

If you’re stuck between a few options, here’s the question that usually makes it clear,
“Which of these templates would I feel proud to send to a new best fit client, as is, with only my content dropped in?”
Not “which one is trendiest.”
Not “which one does my designer friend like.”
Not “which one is cheapest.”
Remember, you need the right travel agency website template to reflect the kind of work you want more of, and make it easy for clients to understand exactly what you will do for them.
Everything else (colors, fonts, little layout tweaks) can be adjusted.

If you’re tired of piecing this together from generic templates, JetSite exists so you don’t have to.
JetSite websites are Showit templates built only for independent travel advisors, and they all include:
You can browse the collection, click through demos, and see how each one might hold the work you’re already doing, and the work you want to grow into.
Because your time is better spent planning trips than fighting with a website that doesn’t quite fit.
